PSconnect for teachers

Teachers from different schools can now also use PSconnect to help their learners with career transitioning. It is in the duty of a teacher to make sure that their learner’s career choices and plans are steered in the right direction and of their best interests. Although, with limited time and resources teachers can spend with their learners, it can become very often difficult to be able to track all the special needs for career choices of each leaner in the classroom. That is why PSconnect also has a feature for teachers as well. With PSconnect teachers don't have to go through the process alone and unguided. Teachers can start helping their learners by steering them in the right direction by introducing PSconnect to them.

How teachers can use PSconnect

To start using PSconnect as teacher, you can register for an account on our website and log into that account. With this feature, teachers also gain information about career transitioning for their learners. If they ought, teachers can also do research on behalf of their learners.

In assisting learners, teachers can use PSConnect material to guide them with career transition and career choices in their Life orientation and life orientation like subjects. To do this using PSConnect, teachers can use two options. First, teachers can request a booklet from PSconnect that consist of all the information that they will need to introduce PSConnect to their learners and also align it with their curriculum. The second option is that the teachers can download a PDF from the PSconnect website and make copies of the material for their learners

Paralegals and legal assistants help lawyers prepare for hearings, trials, and corporate meetings. However, their specific duties may vary depending on the size of the firm and the area of law in which the paralegal works. In small firms, paralegals duties tend to vary more. In addition to reviewing and organizing documents, paralegals may prepare written reports that help lawyers determine how to handle their cases. If lawyers decide to file lawsuits on behalf of clients, paralegals may help prepare the legal arguments and draft documents to be filed with the court. In large organizations, paralegals may work on a particular phase of a case, rather than handling a case from beginning to end. For example, a litigation paralegal may only review legal material for internal use, maintain reference files, conduct research for lawyers, or collect and organize evidence for hearings.Litigation paralegals may assist attorneys in preparing for trial by organizing document binders, creating exhibit lists, or drafting settlement agreements. Some litigation paralegals may also help coordinate the logistics of attending the trial, including reserving office space, transporting exhibits and documents to the courtroom, and setting up computers and other equipment.

This four year Bachelor degree is structured in accordance with the Department of Higher Education and Training’s (DHET) Minimum Requirements for Teacher Education Qualifications. It is also aligned with the new Higher Education Qualifications Framework’s (HEQF) guidelines.
